Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilmaniis a really good rogue like, that actually plays like rouge (the original game), but has a lot of nice gameplay additions, a crazy anime story, permanent upgrades and enough depth to stay interesting

Brave Story is a great RPG that doesn't overstay it's welcome and that I've enjoyed a lot. The enemy design was what really got me into it at the time, but the fun story and quality of life features kept me going

LocoRoco, Patapon, the God of War priquel and Crisis Core

And also Armored Core Formula Front, it's such a weird game in the series.

Oh, and Carnage Heart EXA. I've never managed to actually get far, but it's the most unique mecha game there is. You program your mecha from scratch using logic blocks, and you can make it fully autonomous, fully manual (but you have to program each button press), or a combination of two. It takes as many hours to learn as an Armored Core game would take to complete.

Cartridges, same as Switch 2. And high res textures and audio as separate download if needed. Flash memory was getting cheap until AI, 64GB usb 3 drive is still around 10 bucks at retail, so probably 3 bulk, and even cheaper for Sony.

Spinning media will never be as fast, of course, unless every drive comes with a 50GB cache to just load everything once and never seek randomly.

Up until the Wii era you could just insert the disc in the console and start playing immediately, it was much more convenient than waiting an hour for a game to download and install. You didn’t need to manage disk space as well. Or login before playing. The industry destroyed the convenience. Now only Switch has an option to start playing from cartridge.

He probably decided "meh, good enough" and went on to do other things. And then came back and instead of fixing it flooded the whole thing to start over, abandoned halfway again, set fire to two cities, gave up for a thousand years or so, suddenly remembered he made it and tried sending a message again, but that didn't go well, so we haven't heard from him since.

Trying to put down in words what it feels like taking Vyvanse for the first time as an adult diagnosed after 30.

After years of trying other treatments, therapy, non-stimulant medications, I’ve got my first prescription for a stimulant and today is my first time taking it. I was always wondering what would it feel like so I think I’d try to describe it:

After the initial physical sensation subsided (stiff feeling in the neck, jaw, a feeling like tension on the skin of the back of the head) and I’ve started my work day I’ve realized that I’m pretty much feeling calm. Like there was a race in the back of my head where each task was fighting for a priority and I was trying to accommodate the first one that came to mind, but now while the race is still there I can just methodically pick one out and focus on it for a bit, or switch to another while still remembering the first one. It feels almost mechanical in how calm the process is (maybe a bit too mechanical actually), and I feel less governed by emotion.

I’m still getting distracted, but it seems like distractions last much less and I don’t feel panic and urgency after returning to the task at hand.

Now I wonder what it feels like once the effect is over, and if I will be able to sleep tonight normally.

One other effect is that there is almost no hunger, so I had to remind myself to eat something. In that regard it feels similar to hyperfocus when I’m absorbed in a task and forget to eat anything. I don’t know if it’s actually bad since I do have enough weight that needs losing, but I also don’t want an eating disorder. Feels like I need to start planning my meals.
