Sounds reasonable. But do Europeans have the money to buy cars at higher prices, I wonder. With salaries stagnant and our purchasing power slowly eroded year after year the Chinese carved a market that European manufacturers all but abandoned.

I think that as a community we should try to keep android as open as possible first of all. I daily drive GrapheneOS for instance and I don't feel the need for a Linux phone. I get that both can coexist but I'm afraid we won't be able to carve a big enough niche to make Linux phones work.

While I fully agree and support Codeberg stance on vibecoded projects I'm not sure I follow their reasoning here. For instance they complain about webcrawlers scraping their site to train their LLM models but I don't see why getting rid of the vibecoded repositories wouldn't make them more palatable for scrapers. A site full of human made code is infinitely more useful to those companies than a slop infested honeypot.

A friend of mine is restoring an old muscle car and I bet he'd love something like this as well. It's a niche but we Linux enthusiasts can be quite passionate so I do think the audience is out there for sure.

This makes a lot of sense actually. It'd be awesome to have more options for head units. I'm not sure about the target though, amateurs working on their car or restoring old models? I don't see a lot of companies choosing a Linux based head unit for their cars. But the same argument could be said for Linux phones too.

I fail to see the point. The company sells laptops with Ubuntu preinstalled not phones which are the targets of such apps. Linux phones are still in their infancy and for Android we do have excellent apps like Mapy pulling their data from OSM. What am I missing?

Every year or so I start Fallen Order again and I tell myself this time surely I'll play the whole game. I'm a huge souls and SW fan but for some reason it never clicked.

Despite loving Neuromancer and a lot of cyberpunk literature I couldn't really get into Snow Crash. It's too ironic and over the top for my taste. I did love Anathem though, it's probably one of my favorite books! Would you say I'd enjoy Diamond Age?
