They tariffed US. US finally responds. Now China wants to tariff that, ok. All I can say, Walmart is screwed if they don’t switch back to US first.

Don’t choose politics when marketing your store. They eliminated some shoppers with the DEI stuff then they eliminated even more but removing DEI.

My kids were hyper aware out of high school of the burden of student loan debt and refused to sign on any federal loans. I’m proud they graduated college without debt… they did it sacrificing party time with work time, but they are financially better off because of it.

So many kids now have learned that signing paperwork can mean financial ruin that can’t be bankrupted.

    That’s a good thing.

I cannot in good conscience vote for the two party system anymore. A trillion dollars went into the coffers of both sides to market “old” to the people. That money wants returns and it often means Bill riders that make billionaires richer at the sacrifice of us.

Until the people realize this and vote other parties instead of Democrat or Republican, I’m out.

I don’t even know why people use Google anymore besides maps and restaurant data. The rest is all SEO corporate junk.

I search directly on medical and research / studies sites now. The rest I use AI.

Because you aren’t invested right. You probably clicked that option to allow them to invest it for you and so it picks all the funds with high expense ratios. Mine jumps 20-30% every year.

Well, crap! Was seriously looking at the CX50. I’m not paying monthly to use stuff that’s already equipped in the car. Just madness.

Yeah, I’m an offline RPG gamer and this generation is leaving me behind. Thankfully there’s still some great options like Zelda, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy. But I feel our options are slimming down.

My PC met everything except processor. Did a registry hack and updated anyway. All is well, for now. I don’t feel like building another PC at the moment.

Turn off microphone access to all social media and tell your friends the same. I’ve disabled mine for years and all ads are generic or from prior sites visited.

  • Migrate Subreddits (lemmy.world)

PSA: You should know that Settings > Migrate Subreddits exists. All you do is login to your old Reddit account, copy a “multireddit” link, paste it in Voyager and you’ll be able to search the fediverse for those topics/communities to subscribe to.

You may find communities that are missing here if you’d like to run/manage your very own community on a topic you enjoy.

Hope this helps. I just found this feature today and subscribed to a bunch of communities.

Today, not in a moment of necessity, but a moment of protest, I logged in to Reddit because I found tons of comments and posts listed on old Reddit when you sort by top or controversial.

I logged in to Reddit to destroy even more of my comments that were missed by Power Delete Suite.

It seems a lot of people are doing this. I’ve seen some interesting stuff here and Reddit with screenshots of deleted comments with “this solved my problem” below the deletion.

The way I look at it, ALL of my content was posted via Apollo, just like all of my comments and posts are through WefWef here. If Reddit admins felt the API shouldn’t be free, then my submissions are also not free for them to monetize and get traffic from.

I know for a fact I’ve had 100+ #1 ranked longtail SEO posts in Reddit before I deleted everything. Many of them were getting tons of traffic based on the amount of follow-up private messages received years later.

I do expect Reddit’s traffic to go down as a whole because of everyone leaving but also because of how many removed their content.

That IPO of theirs is going so well.
