Just looked that up, interesting phenomenon for what we see as an apex predator. Even more crazy is what I read after the definition of tonic immobility lol

"In 1997, an Orca in the Farallon Islands was seen holding a White Shark upside down for 15 minutes. Whether intentional or not, the Orca likely caused the shark to enter tonic immobility. Defenceless, the shark, suffocated. This also happened again in 2000."

Nature is crazy

I think at the core, I am applying the same idea or concept of getting into a routine but i don't focus too much on the words they're saying as much as the tone or cadence of speech. Honestly now that I think of it, it feels like falling asleep in a lecture lol. Like it doesn't matter who's talking or maybe even what they are talking about, as long as they keep droning on monotonously

I usually fall asleep to random youtube iceberg videos. Never thought about doing the same piece of media every night. My initial thought is that I'll get bored of it after x amount of sleeps and then my mind starts wandering into my anxious thoughts. I'll give it a shot though

I was never heavy into drugs but I smoked weed a fair bit in my 20s, knew a lot of other daily users of weed as well as some harder drugs. I don't think I ever came across a person that randomly decided to do drugs for no reason one day and got hooked. They were all people who had pretty messed up problems in their life that were too complex for them to fix on their own.

So it confuses me when people instantly assume that someone is in a bad situation due to drugs rather than them using drugs to deal with a bad situation. And yes I know drug abuse makes problems worse the vast majority of the time but it's not what I see as the root issue in a lot of cases, the drug use is a symptom/coping mechanism for people that society have let fall through the cracks.

I know I'm not the only one who feels like I'm getting visually assaulted everytime I drive at night. It was bad 10 years ago but now, it seems like headlight manufacturers have a deal with insurance companies and optometrists to make the lights as bright as possible. Is this ever going to stop or is there some kind of race in the headlight industry to see who can reproduce the power of the sun first?

For example, my car is parked in a single lane driveway, mom's car is in the garage, she opens the garage door, zooms backwards and puts a hole in my front bumper with her trailer hitch. Then she comes inside to wake me up and yell at me. Is that just an extension of narcissism or what words are there to describe someone like that?
