I don’t understand the 2 bed 2 bath appartments, with a tiny nonfunctional kitchen and barely space for a sofa. Drop 1 bathroom and instead use space for a better kitchen and lounge, and you suddenly have a far more livable space.
I’ve found heaps of rubbish in mulch. It’s probably because it’s sourced from council bins and people throw contaminants in green bins. I only use pine bark or cane straw now, because I have higher confidence it won’t be contaminated.
I genuinely don’t understand the anger. Heaps of people like it. Lot of people on here doubting that, but most of the people I know are either in favour of it or neutral. Other than updating the microwave clock, and once a year adjusting for maybe 2 days to new wake up time, what else is there? What is so bad?
Quite is a relative term, I’ve never had a vacuum that I would call quiet. The ones with decent power tend to be noisier, and I’d rather not waste my time cleaning with something that’s not doing the job properly. I like to listen to music or audiobooks while I do housework, (because housework is a drag), and I tend to use headphones instead of speaker because I’m moving around and also of course vacuum noise to overcome. Set of headphones might be cheaper than a new vacuum?
All I heard was home made biscuits. Mmmm.
It’s ingrained dirt from walking around in just socks. Solution is to either always wear shoes, vacuum and mop daily, or wear black socks. But to get them clean try a soak in some oxy stuff for a couple of hours then wash in intense cycle, they will come out cleaner but probably not pristine, because the dirt has pushed into the fibres.
As someone who was in category one but is now in two, here’s my take on it. Category 1 is great only if you are either mechanically handy yourself, or you know people that are. Category one people are not really taking a risk, they have a cousin/freind/inlaw who can help them do work at low or no cost if needed, only parts. So if you are not in that social situation category one is more risky, because you may have to fork out $$$ if something major breaks down. Nothing wrong with having reliability and low running costs on your list of priorities for car selection.
Possibly Brisbane has one, ‘brisbot’ makes their daily thread. May they could kindly share their method? Would be awesome if it could be automated!
Absolutely. Just have something nearby to put on the top half for any video calls.
There may be free online aps that you can access through your Mac browser, eg with a google account you can use google word processor or spreadsheet. If you have a specific task maybe some more knowledge people here can help on how to do it without windows?
I don’t mind him in action stuff like the Mission Impossibles or Top Gun. Not every movie has to be intellectual or every actor be Oscar worthy. Some movies I watch for easy fun, others I watch for more depth. Tom Cruise is in the first category.
Oh no, hopefully that’s not discouraging. Maybe there’s an adjustment period? Sugar withdrawal? (is that a thing?). I know that guts can go through some adjustment if diet changes to include more veg and fibre, but it will settle down fairly quickly. It’s just a bit of a shock to the microbiome.
