That's a conclusion you could draw but it's hardly proof! The other cited were a film-length conclusion to a tv series, an unnecessary live action remake of an animated movie, and another superhero movie. Another conclusion one could draw is that people don't want derivative crap and don't care how it's made or what the budget is if it's a good film. Or you could conclude it's a success of viral marketing, or...

If you think kids won't get around any restrictions in about 14 minutes you've never met a kid. Yeah not all of them could do it, but it just takes one and then then bypasses are circulating within 16 minutes. It's completely unworkable for what they claim they want, and will only hurt people who do comply when the collected data is leaked in 18 minuites

(If you're thinking of responding with such comments here, don't!)

But I do want to read and talk about tech in general

General communities like AskLemmy or whatever are also welcome

I spent half that time in Critical Care (much of that on a ventilator, a small amount sedated), and most of the rest in a specialist neuro-rehab unit. I would have died otherwise.

Fortunately it cost me nothing - Thank Bevan for the NHS - but if I were in the US I imagine I would be financially crippled!
