Pihole can do this out of the box by going to the dns settings and adding a host. Alternatively, if your pihole is also your dhcp provider, you can set the hostname on each and pi hole should resolve it.

My wife didn’t really pay attention to the reddit controversy and frankly didn’t really care. She is about as casual ad you can get and even She has noticed a very steep decline in the quality of content shared on reddit. She barely uses it anymore. Now this is a person who doesn’t notice when her adblocker is on or not. If she noticed this, i can guarantee she is not alone.

I rarely have issues with content farms taking up the first page of results, all the Google search operators (at least the ones i relied on) with consistently again, you can block and/or weight results (no shitty pintrist results). It took me a while to come to grips with paying but so far it’s been very worth it.
