You can think what you like, I for example think the rest of the world understands perfectly well that soccer isn't one of your primary sports.

For a sport in its infancy in your country, I didn't think the US team were that bad

Car brain really is a thing. Here in the UK it seems to be considered a thing that if you can afford one, you have one.

I sold my car (my wife has and needs one to be fair) 4-5 yrs back. Tried to make an ebike work but it didn't fit my lifestyle so I bought an electric moped and it's handled everything I've thrown at it.

Traffic is no longer a thing so it saves me so much time not having to allow time for it, it's generally quicker/as quick as a car on all the trips I do, parking is easy and it's dirt cheap to run.

Not sure I'll ever buy a car again

I had to execute a contract with a supplier in Mexico recently and they have a law (REPSE) that means you cannot engage a sub contractor when instead there's a reasonable argument that you could employ them instead.

It's to protect an empire being manipulated and not receive benefits. They really do look out for their employee rights which is great to see

Right, I suspect I'm for the chop in January and didn't want to leave anything on the table.

What actions should I take now rather than wait for redundancy?

I'm talking less about "hit the gym/LinkedIn" and more to get the most from the company while I'm still engaged.

So for example, I plan to call on the employee assistance services to work on some counselling that I suspect could help me (in case that service extends indefinitely while the case is open).

Just had a horrific experience with priceline.

Booked half board for 2 adults and a child through them. My spidery senses tingled so I checked with the hotel and they'd only booked for 2 adults, and only breakfast.

Try as I might I could neither get them to comprehend the issue, or accept fault (preferring to blame the hotel somehow).

Long story short: don't be like NotJohn, don't use priceline - your stress levels will thank you

Spending lots of time fighting nature in my garden, wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a podcast pls as my feed is dry.

My current listens are Johnny Vaughan, Danny Wallace, Wolf & Owl, Pappy's, Help i sexted my boss and no such thing as a fish.

I feel like I've done history podcasts to death. Non-US as I work for an American firm and need some separation while not at work! :)

    Thanks

Only just taken it up, came from tennis so I'm a reasonable level (3.5ish).

I'm keen to play when I'm on holiday in Spain and wondered what people felt was the best way of approaching this.

Do I email the nearest club and ask them to set me up with some of their club members? Or maybe just focus on 1-2-1 coaching? (would that even work or would you need a pair to do coaching?).

Is there an app in Spain where you advertise to have a game? I think playtomic is meant to be but doesn't seem too active.

We're at a kids resort so I thought to ask the resort to try to organise but I don't think they'll want to be doing this just to entertain me lol

    Any other ideas appreciated
