Ta - yeah I ended up using both in the end! Took a fee hours but it worked!

Only oddity is that now, my bios shows Bazzite once and Windows Boot Manager twice as boot options. They all work, it's just a little strange

    Hi;

    First time Bazzite attempter here. I've created a ≈500gb partition as the attached screenshot. But when I reboot into the live installer, I get as far choosing language and keyboard, date and time, and then to the installation method screen...

    I click "change destination", select the NVME witb Windows on, choose "share disk with other operating systems" (leaving reclaim space and encrypt data off) and on the following screen I get:

    "Warning: your /boot/efi partition is less than 500MiB which is lower than recommended for a normal Bazzite install. Click Next again to proceed despite this warning".

    So I'm guessing it's trying to install into the 500Mb Recovery Partition instead of the 500gb empty parition. How do I get it to choose the right one?

    Thanks for any (noob-friendly) guidance!

    I had difficulty understanding the error messages, mainly. "Warning: this xibstop is a fleng. Do you want to flargle you shmoigen at 0000HgvbXX44? This cannot be undone"

    Of course, I couldn't actually google what it meant without running into a whole load of other terminology I didn't understand, least of all because my WiFi hadn't kicked in yet.

    Basically, you need to put the work in to understand the context of what's going on. With Windows, this took me about a year when I first got a PC. I imagine it'll be the same with Linux.

    I need to keep a windows installation because I need MS Office. LibreOffice is fine 98% of the time, but I've got a handful of complex documents and spreadsheets that just don't render correctly in LO, and I'm not going to spend the weeks it takes to correct them.

    I'll look into refined, but currently can't afford anything but essentials so it'll be a ways off before I can get a new HD

    Linux I've had to fight and beat into submission just to try and install it without accidentally overwriting my windows installation, and have all my hardware working. I've tried and failed 6 times now

    Am looking for recommendations, really.

    For Comedy, I love Mandy, Taskmaster and WILTY. Ghosts had its moments too. For Drama I've really enjoyed Slow Horses, but I'm ashamed to say almost everything I've watched so far this decade has been American, with a handful of Kiwi/Ozzie shows too.

    Note: I'm not counting shows that just happen to have a couple of British actors in, like What We Do In The Shadows. Am hoping for full-on British productions.
