Binged go go loser ranger first season. Will watch second season even though first season middle episodes were a little weak. Hope second season is more constant.

I can understand even though I like it! I believe it's because of the philosophical question I ask myself when watching it. I find the concept fascinating. Is the other you really you, or is one a slave. Notably with Helly when her innie don't want to work for Lumon.

    Breaking bad, soprano, dexter!
For the last two because it's too slow paced! Breaking bad I believe having watched first season but couldn't get into it.

I watch the last of us but a lot episodes are also slow paced and if it wasn't for short seasons and not watching it alone probably I would have dropped it.

At last house of dragons! Would really want to like it as it's my kind of show.

IMHO long ago pacing was better. You had 20-24 episodes with a pause mid season. Airing date would start in october and ends in april/may or something like that. You didn't have to wait more than 8 months to get next season.

Nowadays what would be ideal in my point of view would be :

    • 8 to 12 episodes to allow for more development
    • release each weeks and not all at once (thankfully a lot of network still do that) so you can reflect and discuss about episodes. It makes tv shows more memorable. Back then it was nice when lost aired each week and you had plenty of theories flying around!
    • pretend season 1 and 2 are actually season 1 part 1 and 2 if it doesn't ends with first part. Release second part something like 3-4 months instead of at best a year later.
    • if show works and network is up to another season decide it before part 1 ends so there is a 10–12 months maximum wait after part 2 ends.

Yes basically not a lot different as before!
But Sadly it's unlikely as doing small season minimize risks if shows is not working.

IMHO you need to use adb to force install older version. Something like :
    adb install -r -d myapp.apk

Look it up! It should be possible to use termux on phone and connect wirelessly to your own phone to access adb. Or you have to use another device to connect to your phone.

Of course simpler solution is being able to backup settings and data, uninstall then install older version and restore data.

Is there no more dedicated posts about anime of the week ? It was nice to have it so you could check which anime performed well and might be interesting to pick up if you weren't already watching. I miss those posts !

Glad I started watching this. I tried because it was tagged as sci-fi but didn't really look like it and I was dubious about it being something I would enjoy. Yet I really dig the mistery around second Kowloon and it's inhabitants. I wonder what would really happen to "real" people eating Kowloon foods.

I checked manga and it has not ended. So anime won't be either when current season ends. Hope it won't be a let down and that they will adapt all of it. 🤞

What is sad is that if every governmental administration was switching to fediverse and especially stopped to use x/twitter it would create a move to mastodon.
I think people would start to follow and it would make it more plausible that one day fediverse would be the main networks used. More so if governments were supporting development in any way.

Hey there I am another refugee from windows with the forced push to windows 11. I thought it was time I tried once again linux. So far I am pretty satisfied.
I installed Fedora with KDE and successfully migrated my syncthing server, sftp server. Correctly mounted my nft disks and successfully installed mullvad with all split tunneling I needed.

Now I need advices about 3 things which I sorely miss and which keep forcing me to boot on windows :

    • is there any equivalent to macrium reflect, allowing to schedule weekly image backup for system disk. So it could be restored in case something really goes wrong.
My system disk is brtfs. Time machine looks nice but it's not working because I have no @home and @root volume identified. I found explanations which explain how to do it but I am not too sure it's a good idea to do so.
I also found rsync. Didn't explore enough this solution but I am not sure an image backup can be done if system is running ?
    • for vscode it's easy and I got it running for my linux environment. Yet I have programs which are meant specifically to run on windows and so I can't develop and test them on linux
    • at last for my work I need to be able to use excel. Libre office is not a solution, it's ok for basic usage but it's far behind if you're using it professionally. Please don't turn this about an arguments to say calc is good, really there is something that are just impossible with it. (Like using arrays, power query or data models)

For the last 2 points I feel like my only solution would be to use a virtual machine running windows. Is there a way to run them on it but make it looks like it's a linux app? Somewhat is it what docker is doing but for linux apps ?

Well I feel like I have not many options if I want excel and vscode on windows environment. So sadly I think that will settled it. Please share your thoughts.
I would also really appreciate people sharing what they do to backup their system disk.

    Thanks for your advice !

Communities in left drawer are alphabetically sorted by default. Yet the sort is based on names and not on displayed names. Is there some option that I didn't found to change it? Or could it be fixed or added as an option?
I know I could sort manually but it's not ideal when adding new communities.

For instance episode_discussion@ani.social use "Anime episode discussions" as display name. When I search for my anime subscribed communities I often forget it as the sort looks like it's wrong with what boost display as community name. 😕
