Hi everyone. I'm looking for a device to install Home Assistant on to manage a smart thermostat, a programmable light bulb (on and off), and another lamp in my house. Since I'll be doing other work in the future, I want to use Home Assistant to be ready for the future.

That said, I'm looking for a device (a Mini PC, a Pi, etc.) that consumes very little power, as I'll be using it exclusively for this purpose. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone. I have an old ASUS S56C and I use it everyday for web (Firefox) and graphic design (Photoshop with Bottles, Inkscape). I have used for years Lubuntu, and it was all good with LXDE ambient, but with the latest versions it switched to LXQT and with snaps I don't feel it comfortable anymore.

So, I'm looking for another easy weight lightweight distro, no fancy, only for Firefox, Bottles and Inkscape. I'm opened to any suggestions. Thanks in advance to everyone.

EDIT: Thank you all for your time and answers. I've read them all and I think I will start with Debian with LXDE. Thank you all again.

Hi everyone. I don't know if this is the right space where to ask, but I have a problem with my old Canon 600D.

Time ago at a party, it felt and from that moment, when I try to shoot a photo with the flash, it stucks and on the monitor appears the message I've attached in this post.

And so the camera doesn't shoot with the flash.

Do you what can I do? Is there anything to fix this?

Thanks

EDIT: The error written in the photo is "Impossible take out the embedded flash. Turn off and turn on again the camera.

Ok, thank you very much. These prints will be used only to decore cakes and those cakes are only for photos and not meant to be eaten. So I will check Blender, do you have any suggestion from where to start (any YouTube channel, books, courses or guides)? And then Cura. Thank you again!

Hi everyone. As the title says, I'm looking for a method to download manga on smartphone and then read it with a proper offline reader (any suggestion is appreciated).

Example: I've been reading comics (downloading them on the smartphone and then reading them with "Perfect Viewer" app) for years and I would start to read manga also with a similar solution.

I prefer to download them on the smartphone (and don't read it online) because I don't have always a decent Internet connection, and when I can access to that I use that to download as many comics I can.

Thanks in advance for all your help

EDIT: Thanks for your help, I'll try Mihon and Kotatsu

Hello everybody, I'm using an Asus S56C with Lubuntu 22.04.4 and for work I use Photoshop CS6 and Vector Magic with Playonlinux. I was wandering - just for curiosity - if there are any good alternatives to Playonlinux to use these Windows programs. Thanks in advance!

    Hello everyone,

If this post isn't allowed by the rules, I will delete it. I'm trying to read this full article: https://www.libereta.it/spesa-cibo-sicuro/

But they ask me to buy a full year subscription and I have to read only this article. I've tried 12ft, Firefox reader mode and I've tried to paste it in archive.org but it doesn't work.

Is there any other way to access the full article?

    Thanks everyone in advance

    Hello everybody,

I have a Lenovo B50 Laptop but I can't use it because when I'm using it, it shuts down randomly. I thought it was a battery problem and I've changed it but it didn't work.

I've tried to install Lubuntu on it thinking that it was a Windows problem, but nothing. While I'm using it (Internet, Libreoffice, etc.) it shuts down randomly.

What else can I do? There is any tool that I can use to search the problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello everyone,

I play acoustic guitar on weekend for fun and I was wondering If there are any apps for guitar on smartphone. Now I use tunerly to tune easily the guitar and it's great. I check tabs on the site of Ultimateguitar with the smartphone but I find it not very easy to use (I have to check it in "Desktop" mode by smartphone to read the tabs better). Do you know any other good apps for guitar? Thanks
