The old gal passed away about 20 years ago and I’m a sentimental idiot. I have a few items in the house that are not allowed to fail, this is one of them.

This igniter is mounted in a very handy location by the stove for cooking, but it frequently gets knocked off. Yesterday I managed to drop it in a bucket of water. I disassembled it, cleaned it, dried it and now it works perfectly.

Forget supercars, this is the pinnacle of Italian engineering.

What if it goes the other way? People do so much weird shit when they’re alone. I can imagine a timeline where nothing is off limits anymore, because all deviant behaviour becomes normalized.

A few years ago, I found some college notes from 1906 next to a dumpster. They were hand written in beautiful cursive and bound as books, hundreds of pages for each subject. i couldn’t find a single mistake or smudge or anything. This was from a time where the main source of information were lectures where you were expected to write everything down, then use that as your textbook. It was hard to comprehend that at the time students had to make such an effort just to obtain the materials needed to complete a course. Too bad they were so mouldy would’ve loved to keep them.

The way things are going, that sounds likely. I don’t understand the customers’ mindset when it comes to Ferrari. Even if I had the money the sheer douchebaggery of Ferrari is so repulsive that I’d probably spend it elsewhere.

Especially that other than a 550 maranello there are no Ferraries in my top 100. So many cool and interesting cars are out there…

GT cars usually have 2+2 seating. I actually prefer the useless back seats. At least you have a place to put a giggling child or some extra luggage. That said, the design itself is horrid.

Edit: just saw a few more photos. It has 4 doors, fuck this lump of shit

There are toilets that have a shitshelf, no splash ever. Stains are more likely, but a layer of tp or a quick post-partum brushing does the trick. Small price to pay for a dry bum.

    Blood Angels conversion ideas

A few months ago, I caught a neighbour throwing out a huge collection of 40k and fantasy stuff. Naturally I asked them not to do that, but give it all to me.

I went from having a couple of squads here and there to owning several armies. Thankfully a lot of the fantasy stuff was unpainted, but the blood angels army I got was pretty horribly painted.

I am planning stripping the paint off and repainting them. The only problem is, is that I find blood angels quite boring (both lore and paint scheme).

I was wondering of there was a way to convert them to something else other than the classic chaos conversions.

Also, it would be nice to keep sculpting to a minimum, since I have about 30-50 various infantry units, 6 boxy dreadnaughts and 4-6 tanks.

I was thinking legion of the damned or sons of malice but I’m open to any and all suggestions.

    Hi,

I have this terrible old little tablet that was shit even when new with the stock OS. I’ve found on the Lineage website that the regular A7 tab was supported, but I didn’t find anything on the lite.

I’ve checked and it’s an SM-T225. Is it possible to easily install lineage on this device? I finally found a use for it and wouldn’t want to generate ewaste.

Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I don’t know too much about mobile devices.

I’m not sure if I’m going crazy. I’m looking at a mid-00s skate magazine right now sponsored by a brand called 3120. I wouldn’t say it was all the rage back then, but it was a reasonably well known brand in skating and hip hop circles. Using ddg and qwant I couldn’t find a single relevant hit. Anyone remember?

I’m planning an epic road trip through the alps with about 20 mountain passes in my old shitbox and I was thinking if something goes wrong I’ll probably have to bodge it myself.

Anyone have any tip and tricks for coolant leaks, etc? What should I bring with me other than the obvious fluids, spare wheels, toolbox? What are some common mechanical issues I should look out for?

Recently I dipped my toes in sim racing and I could run dirt 2.0 and AC fairly easily with a controller. A few weeks ago I bought a G920 and so far the only game that works with it proper is Dirt 2.0. AC and rF2 are a nightmare. AC shakes the wheel or doesn’t recognize it, rF2 just keeps steering on it’s own (even when the car is stationary, with autosteer off). I also tried RSF RBR, which runs, but after the first launch it doesn’t detect the wheel anymore.

DKMS is not supported on bazzite, I couldn’t get new-lg4ff to work. Oversteer works, but is sort of useless without the driver. I’m a little bit disheartened at this point. Since I bought the wheel, I spent way more time troubleshooting than racing.

Does anyone have any experience running these games on bazzite with a G920? Is there an easy fix to all of these issues that I’m overlooking?

I’m way too settled into bazzite to distrohop now and I really wouldn’t like to have MS in my household.

My main priority would be to get RSF RBR running and then AC or rF2 to have something other than rally.

Thanks in advance for any input

    Hi all,

Been using fedora atomic on my previous laptop for about a year (kinoite) and when I bought my current one, I had the guy selling it install Bazzite on it. He installed the gnome version, which is not ideal and also there are a few weird things happening occasionally. I finally decided to just reinstall everything, but I’m stuck trying to get the right settings on the bazzite download page. This laptop has no dedicated GPU and there is no such option while selecting the hardware. Is there a correct choice in this case, or should I just go with whatever AMD GPU?

    Thanks,

EDIT: Thanks a lot for the replies, will try thse settings.

I have been considering replacing my nearly 7 year old iPhone (although very reluctant) and I was checking for options. Really the only phone that caught my eye was the Sony xperia 1 V, but I found no information about how to degoogle and lock down the device. I really like the features and the built in camera apps, etc. Is there a way to degoogle the phone without loosing the funcionality/ease of use?

    Hi all,

I’m quite new to resin printing and I was wondering if one was able to post-cure their prints with he printer’s built in “cleaning” function. I mean, it’s a pretty powerful UV light, right there. Does this damage the LCD more than usual? I was thinking of just “roasting” prints to cure them. If anyone tried it before, do share.
