I don’t care who will fix it. Yes, I’m entirely egotistical here. I’m a white dude not living in the US. I’ll be one of the last to suffer the consequences. Yes, I totally understand there’ll be consequences. And it’ll suck for everyone, including me. No, I don’t want people to feel sorry for me.

And yes, I tried to warn people. I tried to stop it. I vote, of course. But guess what? I’m just some random guy. I’m not going to be able to fix the world.

I’m not going to feel bad about myself because I happen to exist in a world that’s too stupid to understand that they’re actively assisting the people that are trying to fuck them.

No, I’m not one of them. I’m not part of the problem. I get that I’m not part of the solution either, but that doesn’t mean I’m the problem.

The people want this. That’s democracy, baby! I’m not going to force anyone to be happy. Go ahead, vote yourself into misery. I’m going to save my own ass for as long as I can.

Do the same, or don’t, I’m not your mom. I’m enjoying my privileges while I still have them. That’s all I can do.

I agree that market share has nothing to do with whether people should care, and I agree that people should care about Firefox and other browser engines like Ladybird.

But at no point did the author of the article open that can of worms. He simply stated the fact that, in the real world outside of the Fediverse, nobody gives a flying fuck about Firefox. Simple as that. No reason to pull out the pitch forks over it. He stated a fact. Get over it.

I don’t get what the intended message was here. Is it just supposed to be funny picture or is there some deeper meaning behind it?

Because from what I can see muffin of value is going on here.

This might be the dumbest take I’ve heard today.

Everything your smartphone does your laptop can do, too. Therefore, smartphones are useless!!

Everything AR can do that your smartphone can do today will be a hundred times more convenient because you don’t have to carry a slab of glass with you all the time. You just have to wear glasses. Like I already do anyway.

The only reason for smartphones to still exist in a world where AR is compact will be if we can’t figure out a way to efficiently input data without annoying everyone around us. As soon as that problem's solved, nobody will be using smartphones anymore.

In October, a new sorting mode was introduced: „scaled“

This allows sorting posts based on the size of the community in order to avoid the feed being dominated by large, active communities, and pushing smaller communities. This was one of the main blockers for me to move from Reddit, so I’m glad it’s finally implemented. Therefore, I would love to see this sort option be available in Avelon on supported instances.

    Thanks!
