Do these people not see the parallel between their actions and, say, requiring women to wear a burqa or cover their hair? Religion, or specifically religious extremism, has no place in a civilized educated multicultural world. You don’t like abortion? Don’t have one.

I switched from Windows to Mac over a decade ago and never looked back. Working in software engineering at startups I always had Macs. I recently joined a larger company that is all Microsoft. I’m seriously burned out on having to use a Windows laptop and Windows software again. It’s just so kludgy and inefficient. I never really realized how bad it was until now.

I love that pirate groups still use ascii text art in their release notes. It’s like a little piece of the world that hasn’t changed in 30 years.

My company has a 3-day/week hybrid policy. It’s lame. Since not everyone is there on the same day, I still sit in my cube on teams chat all day. Most of the time I don’t interact with anyone for work related reasons. And as an introvert, I don’t really go out of my way to engage with people otherwise.

That’s funny because lemmy.world has been blocking every community for hours on end multiple times a week on a seemingly regular basis. Their shits broke.
