S&P views Oracle's strong dependence on a single major customer, OpenAI, as particularly critical.

Well it’s a good thing OpenAI is a stable foundation to build on top of. No worries about that company. I’d stake my personal reputation on it!

Sounds like malicious prosecution to me, let’s get them some (or all) of that $1.776b fund. They can put it to good use in the community instead of giving it to duly-convicted insurrectionists.

Well, jobs with AI exposure at its current price point are starting to disappear. But what if:

    • energy prices were to rise, perhaps because someone started a war
    • there were a shortage of components to build additional capacity
    • the AI providers were to switch to a different price model
    • the VC cash subsidizing the actual cost were to suddenly dry up

Surely none of those could ever happen, and even if they did they probably wouldn’t have any impact.

Wanted: a cheap, multipotent treatment for viral infections. Must be able to handle new or unfamiliar strains, or (even better) a broad range of viruses – whatever comes along, in other words. Must be impervious to viral attempts to evolve resistance to it.

And if the grad students you hired for peanuts who actually do all the work can’t find that, well, just poison them.

This is very funny, because the kind of people who want Trump's face smeared all over their official documents are probably not the kind of people who do a lot of international travel.

    From the Apple press release:

Cook will continue in his role as CEO through the summer as he works closely with Ternus on a smooth transition. As executive chairman, Cook will assist with certain aspects of the company, including engaging with policymakers around the world.

I guess Tim isn’t ready to give up handling the bribes just yet.

By the end of this thing I fully expect Trump to hand-deliver them the plans for the bomb and claim that it’s a win because he didn’t allow them to develop it themselves.

When the “woke” mania swept the country in 2020, I took a step back and reevaluated where I stood and why I stood there. To my surprise, I found that I agreed with conservatives and libertarians on a number of issues. I opposed childhood gender transitions, unlawful and divisive DEI mandates, and the excesses of Critical Race Theory. I argued against biological males competing in women’s sports and being housed in women’s prisons. I did so loudly and publicly, losing many friends along the way.

Today, some of those same attorneys I worked with are advocating for my right to marry my fiancée to be stripped away.

I fell for obvious right-wing propaganda and rationalized the hate with reason and logic. Now the hate machine is coming for me and that's not fair!
