We didn't have a ton of photos on display at our house, weirdly. Good on you for getting the pics to your kids. My mom shares the pictures of our childhood with us, but also with our cousins - for some of them those are the only childhood pics they've got. My dad has shared the login to the huge family cloud account with several of us for safety

My parents were early adopters of digital photos, but also took a bunch on film and have scanned them. We have something around 20,000 photos. My parents display them on a screen in the living room and it's awesome. We're often mesmerized for dozens of minutes just watching and talking about the memories, and it's a great way to connect with my parents now that we're all adults, and really see the work they put in to give us a magical childhood. Before the physical photos were digitized we rarely flipped through the books if it wasn't for a school project or something

Fully agree. This is why I've made multiple children. Then I train them on the binary digits the way other parents teach shapes, numbers, and the ABCs. Can't be too careful, it's best to have multiple backups

You actually can influence how full a person feels after a set amount of food based on how big or small the plate is on which the food was served.

The addictive qualities of ultra processed foods at the same time as the diminishing nutrition of processed and unprocessed foods alike is obviously so much more of a contributing factor, but isn't it nuts that plates can also have a measurable effect?

When you're getting paid per job (by a landlord) you don't waste time removing doors. There's no "pride in your work" either. The AC doesn't get turned on until next week. Sometimes the water doesn't either, so every extra minute there sucks.

You also just follow whatever the last guy did. If I'm first, I cut in fixtures. It's just as fast as covering them in paint.

I guess it's overall satisfaction. Joy is yesterday, cuddling in bed with my spouse and toddler, and toddler reaches up and pats us each on the cheek, smiling ear to ear, so happy we're all together watching the movie they wants to watch. A joy explosion. But if we spent all day in bed, that wouldn't make me happy. So I guess we need the harder stuff so those joy explosions feel so high. So a balance with those joy moments a few times a day is peak happiness

I'm pregnant again and I guess I'm looking to vent and maybe for some affirmation.

This is my second baby, but it's my fourth time doing the first trimester. We've suffered two losses.

I'm only 7w5d and I'm already so tired of being pregnant. I'm awfully sick all day every day and I'm crazy tired no matter how much sleep I manage to get. I'm doing my best to meet my toddler's needs.

I just hate this and because of my losses I feel so guilty hating every minute of it. There's nothing beautiful about this. I just feel nausea all day long, I throw up every morning, I cry at every stupid thing, and I'm dog tired. Every smell is overwhelming to me and most food disgusts me and I'm too tired to make myself anything to eat, so I'm always hungry.

I wish I could tell everyone I come into contact with as an excuse for my exhaustion and low effort, but I know how much I won't want to talk about it if anything should happen so I'm pretty stuck there.

I just hate it and I wish more often the media would be honest about how doggone awful it is. Nothing is working to relieve my nausea. The thought of ginger makes me puke from trying that for my morning sickness so much last time.

    I guess that's all. Ain't being a woman grand.
