They don't care. They think (and hope) people will buy the new ps6 at whatever price and will accept digital because what choice they have? Get a switch 2? Or an xbox (can you even buy them?). Nah, the guy playing fc, or cod, or nfl or gta will buy one. And let's be honest, that casual gamer who gets the same titles every year and eventually buys something else (still mainstream) is the biggest part of their playerbase.

Some people will switch to pc but the majority will silently buy a ps6 only digital because let's be honest, they don't care if FC26 becomes unplayble in 2030, by that time, they'll be playing FC30.

    Long story short:

A snowflake created a frontend for lemmy in which they added a hidden blacklist of communities, people and even words that were shadowbanned for everyone using it without informing first, so if you used it, you'd be seeing a censored version of the fediverse based solely on one person's opinion about what you should be seeing there.

Some smart people discovered this and the community didn't take it too well for how it was made (in particular, how it was not optional but forced on the user).

The dev of the frontend wasn't happy about it and ragequitted with a letter in which they basically say that we are all mad here (except them) and that the fediverse can't be saved because we are all pissed about this (as if they were our one and only saviour or some crap).

Edit: forgot to add: of course, the people and communities targeted on the ban were, coincidentally, lgbtq or allies and you know, anything that would piss a fascist.

  • I mean, it's kinda true-ish? What if someone develops a vaccine in 200 years that actually causes autism because the world has realized that autism is a desirable trait because makes people better at what is needed in the future? We can't know if that vaccine will cause autism so we can't know if "vaccines" as EVERY VACCINE EVER CREATED will cause autism.

Checkmate, jabbed people and science "believers"!!

Lol, lmao even. Unless I'm gettingt paid overtime, I'm not doing to any "team happy hour" or other kind of forced work socialization. No company is going to decide how I spend my free time. Thank fuck I live in a country with decent enforceable work laws that protect us.

IF (extremely huge "if") I ever go to the US, it will be without a phone. I'll just bring a meshcore device for me and whoever accompanies me and a digital camera (thoroughly wiped before going there). I'll add some laptop or handheld (a wiped steam deck could be perfect) just in case I need internet access for something like my bank, but in absolutely no way I'm travelling there with my phone or any kind of personal device that has the slightest portion of my personal data for an asshole to try and find it.
