Golf isn’t the problem, it’s golf courses

If you took any random forest or mountain and put a cup at one end then just said go things would be fine

(I know foot traffic is bad, it’s better than bulldozing the whole thing)

I have never played golf. But I enjoy VR mini golf way more than I would like to admit. It's so fun and creative.

I think this will negatively affect the game I like, but I'm happy the developers got serious money. I'll find a new indie game, and hope that the next generation of indie devs gets serious bank by selling their game next.

I don't follow your thoughts here.

But. The state would likely regulate them away except maybe in climates that aren't very burdened by golf courses, if that's even a thing. Communist governments don't inherently take full control of all businesses. They simply eliminate private property, which is not to be confused with personal property.

A communist golf course might look like this. You roll right up to the course. You either pull out your own clubs or borrow some from the facility. Someone maybe informs you which courses are more or less busy, helps you understand how to play and what etiquette is expected for the pleasure and safety of yourself, other active and future golfers. And then someone maintains the courses when... whenever they're maintained now probably.
