Nobody is forcing Big Tech to do AI. Nobody even wants Big Tech to do AI at the token cost required to make AI even mildly profitable.

Honestly though, if the investor class is what finally pops the AI bubble by simply diversifying away from the big tech LLM circle jerk, I’ll take the win. If FAANG et al loses the monopolistic control they have in so many areas, that’s a HUGE success.
Wall Street hates it? Tech companies have been doing this for years, yet Wall Street keeps giving them more money.
If they hate it they have a strange way of showing it.
Big tech historically makes huge gains, AI is the first thing big texh has done that’s not giving huge returns
Didn't Amazon do exactly that for a decade?
It's also called digging a hole. Then comes trying to dig yourself out. Then collapse
They will remember the first rule of getting out of a hole, right?
Right?!
I don't know the reference, but how about:
First rule if getting out of a hole: Dig faster than the walls can collapse on you.
Did I get it right?
