So I’ve just moved to a new area about a month ago after leaving a 7+ year relationship. I don’t have friends in the area, and it’s the desert so it’s not great to just walk around during the day.

I figured what the heck, I’ll download Tindr again. OMG. Apparently over 100 likes after the first day??? They’re hidden behind paid membership (which I’ll never get), so it could just be inflated to try and sell but wow. That’s overwhelming.

Is this normal‽

This is normal and it's partially a marketing ploy to get you to pay for membership. And I say this as a person who met their current partner on Tinder!

Definitely filter, filter, filter. If there's one orange-ish red flag - move on to the next! There's a bajillion fish out in the sea hahah

My niece is in hospital, having just found out she has epilepsy :-(

Also, I was feeling really tired yesterday and had a stupid argument with my wife, and fell back on self-destructive coping strategies. I said some really stupid things.

I'm lucky that she took that in her stride and we've sorted things, but TBH I wouldn't put up with my behaviour. I'm not sure how she does.
