I'd like to nominate Ahoy's deep dive into the arcade game Polybius and whether it was real (spoil alert: it isn't)
My memory is shot so who knows what else I thought was good this year but Super Smash Bros Melee will always be in my heart, especially when it's something as insane as a Yoshi for the first time since the game released 20+ years ago, who also isn't from the strongest region (NA), to win a tourney.
