Posted comment just now, noticed a typo and I wanted to add a little more and noticed the edit button has vanished.

Hi, is this happening on all accounts (in case you have multiple) or only a specific account? I haven't seen this but I can investigate. Under Settings -> Report Bug (it's in the top right menu) would you mind copying the debug information it auto fills?

I haven't used any other accounts to notice, so I went to check and the other account had the button, and now that I've logged back into this account it also came back. 😵‍💫

    Here's the debug info, regardless.

Edit: You know what, it might have been just a weird thing due to the Drift migration. I did that when I got the notice about it this morning and then shortly after is when I noticed the edit button wasn't showing.

Sorry that I don't use the Connect app, I use Jerboa, but on behalf of OP, can you elaborate where the edit button/menu/function is for them?

The button is usually between the bookmark and reply buttons directly under the comment and looks like a sheet of paper with a pencil next to it.

I think it's just missing when viewing your post from community view. If you view the post directly, the edit post icon is present.

There is no way to edit your post from a feed at the moment but maybe this could be implemented in the future. Card view does have more screen real-estate and I think that's something to consider. But that's for the dev to decide.

I don't use the Connect app

How did you end up in !lemmyconnect@lemmy.ca, then?

I cannot edit the main post, either.
