So, according to Musk, a woman that has had a medically necessary hysterectomy is no longer woman? What is she, then, Elon?

No. Musk and other transphobes don't actually believe what they believe because of the reasons they state. They believe what they believe, and say whatever feels right in the moment to support their hate, and don't care in the slightest if it contradicts another of their beliefs somewhere else. The hate is the point. The words are just window dressing.

It sure makes them look like absolute idiots, though. It also discredits their arguments when their claims fail under the smallest bit of critical thinking. Musk's idiotic and ignorant statements like this shine like a giant beacon of how brain dead his mindset is. Anyone that might have been swayed, when examining his argument, can see how stupid he is with this statement, and carry that over to seeing the stupidity in his hate.

The thing is though, no one actually changes their opinion because Musk spouts contradictory bullshit. His fellow transphobes just see him pushing transphobia, and don't care what he's actually saying. For them as well, the point is the hate. The words are just as meaningless, whether it's their words or someone elses. The only thing that matters, is that it pushes hate.

For people that are already trans allies, his words don't change anything.

And for people who are on the fence, who don't know how to feel about trans folk and their rights, musks words won't change anything either. The thing that turns fences sitters in to supporters is seeing the human face of trans people. It's the experience of trans people shifting from a hypothetical talking point in to real people, who are impacted by the hate. And again, that has very little to do with the words people use.

It’s true, and you see it all the time. If you concede any point they just move the goalposts. The point is hate. They hate trans people, so no matter what they will hate them. If there was a magic pill that would make a trans person 100% indistinguishable from any other people they would claim that real women don’t take medicine or something insane.

The hate stems from fear, fear stoked by people who stand to gain from the divisiveness that's created. Many even start to believe their own faulty rhetoric as it gives them a rush of power and control.

Yep. People can and obviously are swayed by Musks transphobia. But they're not swayed because he comes up with a singular definition they agree with. They're swayed because his pattern of exclusion is designed to stoke fear. The successive anti trans comments, the support from other bigots, and the fear narratives all tell people they should be nervous about trans folk. And then the messages keep coming, and the uncertainty changes to fear.

Which is to say, celebrating a "gotcha" in a transphobes wording, might feel good in the moment, but pointing out the contradiction doesn't make any meaningful difference to people who are already feeling that fear and anxiety.

Yes. Musk, and alot of the right wing crowd, seem to subscribe to bio-essentialism, which reduces the only purpose of human life down to procreation and passing down their genes.

Anyone who cannot, or does not do this is deemed a failure, e.g. trans people, intersex people, gay/lesbians, infertile women or men, old people.

Musk is a father of 14, and has issued multiple "warnings" that low birth rate is most pressing issue, and that people should reproduce as much as possible.

    A truly disgusting human being.

With that kind of wealth, imagine all the good he could do. He could improve living conditions for millions of people. He could fight climate change, buy vast amounts of rainforest and save it from being chopped down, there's almost no limit to what he could achieve by helping humanity as a whole.

Instead he lets himself be used by dumb wannabe dictators, shows the Hitler salute, builds cars that look like the wet dream of a six year old, calls his family members mentally ill, hoards all this wealth.

Even if it wouldn't be out of true altruism, how can he not see that being a tiny bit less of an asshole and doing some good would at least improve his personal image and help grow his business?

I literally cannot put into words how much I despise this man.

Remember when he said if the UN have him a budget to end world hunger, he'd pay for it? And when they did, he bought Twitter instead?

    Pepperidgde Farms remembers.

This is why I refuse to call it anything but Twitter. What's wrong, you're identifying differently? You never were a blue bird to begin with? Tweet tweet.

The 'phobes will never stop attempting to exclude trans women. Eventually when society at large accepts trans people as just a part of society, they'll move onto another minority.

The whole point is having someone to other so you can use them as a scapegoat and distraction for societies problems. Elon and others know their goal - keep the poors fighting amongst themselves.

So when we're able to create an artificial or transplanted womb, he'll agree that a trans woman is a woman?

He's just jealous that she has had pretty good end results to her gender affirming care. Meanwhile Elon supposedly had a botched penis enlargement surgery and now can't get it on.

Consider this: if having a womb is the defining feature of Womanhood, what is a woman who removed theirs?

Imagine being so insecure, despite having unlimited wealth, that you always must have someone to beat down on. Elmo is NOT an uplifting guy, and humanity will be far better off when he's gone. He could have been something special, but instead he became a curse upon us.
