Snoop continued, “I didn’t come here for this shit! I just came to watch the goddamn movie!” He added, “Fuck me, I’m scared to go to the movies. They’re throwing me in the middle of shit that I don’t have an answer for.”

Sounds like a "You" problem, Snoop.

If you have to explain lesbians to your kid you've already failed. Adults are free to love other adults. How's this so fucking complicated???

It's even more pathetic because the context was apparently Lightyear, where a lesbian couple has a kid, and the typical MAGA boomer reaction: "How do I explain that!?" Uh, people adopt, Snoop. Like, that's always been a thing...

Ok, boomer. Also: sad old man. I bet he has no problem explaining why he was a murder suspect? Or why he used more weed than god intended?

It’s easier to explain how a lesbian couple can give birth to a baby than it is to explain how an invisible man in the sky made someone pregnant 2000 years ago, but it didn’t stop snoop from becoming a born again Christian.

Typical old man s***. Zero ability to self reflect.

Here's an interesting excerpt from an intervention he was given by Dionne Warwick.

"I told them, I said, 'You guys are all going to grow up. You're going to have families. You're going to have children. You're going to have little girls. And one day, that little girl is going to look at you and say, 'Daddy, did you really say that? Is that really you?' What are you going to say?'" she added.

Self-proclaimed badass and gangsta is scared from a lesbian couple? This is beyond humiliating.

Being uncomfortable around LGBT I can understand. It's dumb, you're dumb, you're stupid, but I somewhat understand. You've been brainwashed for decades and need a minute to adjust... I guess?

    But scared?

And of all beings, snoop Dogg? Wasn't he pretending to be a bad ass gangsta rapper?

    Afraid?

Afraid of two people holding hands?

Afraid of seeing a woman who might have some manly facial features?

Afraid of generally just really nice people living their lives?

Afraid of two (or holy hells, maybe... Even three!??) people that just love each other and live together in the same home and maybe like to do things together in the privacy of their own home that you maybe would not do?

AFRAID OF WHAT, YOU SHIZZLE FUCK?

He isn't afraid of gay people.

He is afraid of having to have the conversation with his grandkid about gay people having a baby due to the content of a kid's movie.

Sort of like how a grandparent would be uncomfortable discussing procreation with their grandkid. Shit, parents are uncomfortable discussing that with their own kids and that is a far easier and more straightforward thing than discussing sperm donors.

He is scared that a kid's movie will inspire questions that he is uncomfortable answering as a grandparent.

This isn't even celebrity news at this point.

Sir, we all have had to sit awkwardly next to our parents when hetero sexy times happened during movies, the concept of lesbians existing is nothing compared to that.

Aw fuck. Why, man? Just why?

To those that don't know, Snoop Dogg has been making a lot of material for kids lately. He has a YouTube channel (called "Doggyland") designed for preschoolers. That means he actually does have an audience these days, even if they're far too young for Lemmy.

I used to think, "Aw cute, becoming a granddad has inspired him to create educational videos. He even gets to explore his new Bow Wizzle fursona!" (I mean.)

But this, this takes back all the joy. I wouldn't be surprised if some parents who hear about this decide to unsubscribe and/or block his channel.

1960s Conservative White Man Admits He's "Scared" to Go to Movies Because of Black Representation

"Papa, how did those people vote? They black!"

"1960s Conservative White Man then insinuated that non-slave black characters may not be appropriate in children's movies."

Disappointing but he won't be the last rapper who expresses conservative views. Rap as a genre tends towards having materialistic and conservative lyrics so maybe we shouldn't be surprised.

It’s mixed. There’s the two major sides of that coin that I would split the style into and one is hyper materialistic and sexualized while the other is full of political commentary and sometimes even talks about mental health problems among other things. Like, while I’m sure you can find examples of both from any one artist there’s for sure a stark difference between Snoop here and A Tribe Called Quest.

Noone pointing out that this story is bullshit? If the kid knows how a baby was made, and understands enough that biologically speaking that it would be "impossible". The kid did not fucking ask that.

As much as I liked snoop as a kid we all knew that death row was full of shitty people who would do anything to get ahead. Suge knight would have his goons violently "handle" buisness afairs, and many people believe that he had Tupac killed. Snoop and Suge later "squashed the beef". Which is insane considering the allegations. He's scared to go to the movies, but will pal around with potential murderers? Okay Snoop.

At this point we should all view snoop as a made up character. Hes in so many good works of art gorillaz, trailer park boys, the boondocks and so on. All of which's creators would hate what hes said here and go against the messages of the works of media hes helped produce. Hes desperately trying to stay relevent, I think this is just another way of keeping his name in the loop. Pathetic.

    Content of the link:

Snoop Dogg and others face heat for performing at Trump's pre-inauguration ball.

Disappointing when someone you thought was a tolerant person turn out to be a bigot.

But instead of a link people need to click with no idea what it leads to, you should include the title or something describing what it's about.
I normally never click such links as you made. I could also be tempted to downvote such a post for wasting my time.

Snoop said that his grandson asked him, “Papa Snoop, how did she have a baby with a woman? She a woman!”

That doesn't really sound all that damning. I don't remember it being explained in the movie either.

I don’t remember it being explained in the movie either.

One thing I think, and I'm not saying that you think otherwise, is that movies are way better when they don't explain everything. In real life, we don't always get explanations, and there's stuff going on all the time that we have no explanation for.

So, the lack of explanation in a movie, as long as it's not distracting, actually adds to the feeling of authenticity, in my opinion. Movies where everything is explained and nothing is hidden about the characters... it just makes everything feel flat and childish.

So, first... didn't Lightyear go straight to Disney+? Like 3 years ago? How is that a reason to be scared of theaters now?

Second - Snoop, it's not hard.
