Well no, because I don't think people need to use tape to hold lingerie on.

The fact that many of them got couch-casted (industry heads are old dirty men like Harvey Weinstein Clive Davis, y'all know how it goes) plus being hedonistic and single/in PR relationships/in lavender marriages probably both prepares them and allows them to be overly sexual. Sex sells, and the only deity America truly worships is money...

All too accurate & it definitely still happens. They just removed Weinstein because he was egregious. Pretty sure the whole casting couch genre of porn was inspired by all of these washed out LA Actors who turned to porn.

I am in supreme disagreement that Cate Blanchett in a full leather suit is lingerie.

Oh my god! Cate Blanchett in full leather! That's terrible! Where? Where are these photos, specifically? So I know what places to avoid!

I've seen some ugly women wearing lingerie. There's more to it than that

    Are you policing celebrity’s outfits?

Maybe you can start telling them what they can and can’t think next.

    shares opinion online

    ARE YOU POLICING?!?

What are you even doing in discussion spaces if you can't stand it?

    I just think slut-shaming celebrities isn’t acceptable.

If you’re okay with it then you can do you.

What about moral shaming? OP didn't do any of it, though. I'm more than open for it... but sometimes people mistake discussions for e-stoning. 🤷

    The meme is transparently slut-shaming.

I don't see it. Lingerie, bikinis, outfits with little to no fabric, they're all in the same category of "revealing outfits". That's all OP said, and that's just a visible fact. Everything else happened in your head. My post replying to OP is actually somewhat critical, although more of the industry and Ameircan ideology.

If women want to wear revealing outfits I support them fully.

I don't share your opinion (for both sexes, ofc) but I like the fact you take a stance on what you think is right. 👍
