I've been getting three at a time from my SIL, for my birthday and Xmas. Up to Fifth Elephant now. Can't remember exactly where it happened, but a few books ago they stopped including the bookmark ribbon. Apparently at that point in the series they switched printers and the ribbon got excluded. Unreasonably bothered by it, going to learn how to add them in.

Lol notifications are a wonderful thing, crossposted as part of on-going boycott efforts of the .ml instance, recap

Fair enough, I just went to the biggest Discworld instance.

Needing to post to the biggest subscriber comms is a bit of a holdover from Reddit imo.

Here on the Lemmy-verse we're not really big enough for it to matter (excluding other factors like a comm being on a... controversial...instance)

Take this post for example, I just started this comm yesterday because the only existing version at the time was a .ml version. But yet, this post is more than double upvotes than the .ml version which is (on paper) magnitudes more established.

And this really goes beyond the .ml boycott, if more posted to smaller instances/comms and ignored the Subscriber count in general, the Lemmy-verse would be far more healthier lol

I get that. I feel the same way about reposting other people's content without credit.
