Edit: so it turns out that every hobby can be expensive if you do it long enough.

Also I love how you talk about your hobby as some addicts.

Yep. Half height rack, a couple servers, UPS, switch, etc.

And I still keep looking at used gear. Being in Silicon Valley there is always a deal to be had.
