[–] Tetsuo@jlai.lu 59 points 2 years ago (36 children) Honestly, I kind of think my country (France) forbids weed today because of all the bullshit of the Reagan era and it's pretty infuriating. Their depiction of weed as some super dangerous class 3000 hardcore drug ended up as some kind of standard for most of the developed countries. It sucks. permalink fedilink source hideshow 41 child comments replies: [–] brainrein@feddit.de 13 points 2 years ago It’s just indication to the fact, that the biggest part of our assumed development, our democracy, or our rule of reason is but a delusion. permalink fedilink source parent [–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world [S] 13 points 2 years ago (59 children) Especially when it has medicinal applications. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 59 child comments load more comments (59 replies) [–] nomecks@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago (1 child) Smoking weed will make you... I'm also in Europe, and still trying to cope with the fact that I got into trouble with the law for tending a garden. Well I guess at least it re-radicalized me for all it's worth. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] WaxedWookie@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago I had a similar experience with my poppy field ringed with gympie gympie. I'm all for legalisation, and I'm a regular user, but the fact that it's a plant has always struck me as a weak argument. We can do better. It's one tier better than "It's natural!" (So are asbestos, arsenic, and anthrax.) permalink fedilink source parent load more comments (31 replies)
