According to Focusrite, Linux is supported so hopefully it won’t be too rough. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [+] dinckelman@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 child) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] assembly@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) I have the 2i2 and this is what I was hoping to hear. I’ve always had it hooked up to Windows and it drops off daily to where I need to reset the sample rate to get it working again. Apparently it happens on Windows relatively often so looking forward to that not happening on Linux. I also hear that Reaper works in Linux so those are the last of my concerns. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] dinckelman@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 child) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] assembly@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago I appreciate the recommendation! I’ll check out FlexASIO and QJackCtl. permalink fedilink source parent [–] aniki@lemm.ee 8 points 2 years ago (2 children) Focusrite is so well supported in the Linux kernel the arm builds work out of box. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] assembly@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 child) LOL after typing my last comment I checked the Reaper site and they have arm builds. I may just try it out on the rpi for the fun of it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] aniki@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago I use my 2i4 with an OrangePi 5 as a htpc permalink fedilink source parent [–] assembly@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) That is amazing. I would try it on my spare rpi4 but I doubt Reaper has an arm build. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] spwyll@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) https://www.reaper.fm/files/7.x/reaper714_linux_armv7l.tar.xz permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] dinckelman@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago* (last edited 10 months ago) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent [–] Mango@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago Linux usually agreed pretty well with my Oppo HA2-SE. I'm guessing you're an audiophile. I think you'll have an ok time. permalink fedilink source parent [–] iopq@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago I thought so too, but it skips in wine for me so I went back to pulse.
