Help starting with decoding satellite channels (lemmy.world)

I didn’t have much luck with iptv as it buffers a lot and it’s not because of my broadband speed, I already have a satellite dish on my house and was thinking about making the use of it but I don’t know where to start.

But then I wouldn’t know what to do with it, do I need to get some decryption keys from somewhere every few weeks?

Awe... I wrote this as a joke based on the headline but then I read the post and it's actually about TV.
