The bigger factor are moderates within swing states. Look, I'm not saying progressive votes don't matter. I'm a strong Bernie supporter and progressives as well myself. Clearly their votes do matter, and increasingly to the point where candidates can't ignore them. But, at the time, it's not them being the most influential factor. permalink fedilink source parent
