I don't know what Harambe saved us from, what I know is that since his passing things turned to shit

    Harambe was a time traveller keeping evil time travellers from tampering with the integrity of the timeline. The zookeeper is one of those evil time travelers and now with the only force of good dead, this timeline is doomed.

    The elite temporal rescue task force emerges out a portal. The commander picks up a dirtied "Berenstain Bears" book off the floor and heaves a great sigh. "Abort mission... We are too late, it's too far gone"
