Why not try giving a "sir" to 100 trans women and 100 cis women and see how the reactions differ? The way I understand it, you're saying there wont be any difference in reaction. That's naive. It's a trigger! Just like how I can get uncomfortable when someone talks about s.assault but it isn't a trigger for me. If I'm in a group session with people recovering from trauma, I'm going to be very careful talking about SA but if I'm with colleagues I might speak more directly. permalink fedilink source parent
