Oh that's one of my gripes. My son likes to get an egg mcmuffin with no meat, extra cheese. You'd think the slice of meat and cheese would cancel each other out. And I think they are up to charging $1 for a slice of american cheese. And its been this way for over 15 years.

It's not just the US. The race for the biggest profit has hit its limits on the best value front. Now it's pretty much all on deception and enshittification.
