A beginner here with less than 48 hours real time clocked. Suggestions? (lemmy.ml)

Any suggestions for me? I started with the default farm.

I want to see some order and structure here really. Right now I'm focusing on community center, but god do I hate how unorganized this farm looks.

The sections have been labelled pretty aptly. I've made some good progress on the community center, but I guess it's at the expense of my own farm.

I really just want a good looking and all-rounder kind of farm :sob:

Happy to answer any questions you ask. The image is kinda low-res because I wasn't able to upload a larger one. How do people recommend I divvy the map up for sections and such?

How do you like to play the game? The suggestions depend on that.
Do you find yourself min-maxxing proffits or mine levels? Or you like relaxing and going with vibes? Do you like decorating stuff to painting levels?
Also, what activity are you enjoying the most?

    How do you like to play the game?

    I usually focus on one aspect and continue that one for a while. Eg, in game, a couple of days of mining, a couple of days of fishing, a couple of days of foraging, maybe a day here and there to do other stuff like quarry mining. And so on. Usually I have a morning routine of 'water plants if needed' (right now there are only 8 because I put farming on the backseat for community center stuff, mostly got done with all except for the quality crops bundle), 'collect mushrooms from the cave thingy next to farm', 'pet the chicken', 'talk to my wife' and stuff like that. Then the rest of the day goes in activities like ones I mentioned above. When I'm not being lazy, the evening goes in going around and selling my stuff in stores that'll pay me the most, otherwise I just put them in the box :p

    Mostly yeah, there are a few days where I grind some stuff to get community center bundles, but otherwise, mostly relax and do stuff like an actual farmer

    kissing my wife Leah tbh, everything. Especially, when I'm getting some good results out of things, it's fun and rewarding and satisfying!

    Honestly? It looks like you're on the right path, based on what I see.
    I'd keep focusing on the CC and progress through, since that'll open up even more stuff, which is more possibilities.
    Other than that, on a general note, I'd suggest if at some point you want to tidy up and have all machines in one place, to build a Shed.
    On the decoration stuff, my SO likes to follow other people's designs, and they have really beautiful farms.
    For money, most stuff will take some effort to get a lot of money, though for what I see, other comments already mention that. You can improve all processes to make the most money, mining = desert, crops = greenhouse, fishing = fish smoker + fish knowledge, animals = more expensive animals.
    Once you complete most of the game (getting perfection is hard), I'd also suggest you getting mods. They'll bring the parts of the game you like the most to a new level, as they are made with love from the community. You can get mod bundles or select them manually, but you'll find ease of life features and extended content. I always recommend automate for a 2nd playthrough.
