I'm more excited for this now than I was before. It looks very cyberpunk.

Whatever they write on that matter will certainly be a retcon. There's no canonical reason for Deckard to not die just as any other synth. He was just a glorified executioner after all. I mean the woman who he runs away with is a replicamt, and special made. Who's to say hes not an illegal one? Wouldn't that make sense why the replicants in the first movie hunted him?
