Persistent incremental efforts directly resulted in wages increasing, expanded civil rights, vacation time increasing, labor laws.

Half of those were won through a literal war

    That "war" that lasted one week and resulted in less than 200 deaths was not a spontaneous giant event that came from nothing, it was a culmination of incremental steps and afterwards was a step leading to further steps.

    unionizing, employment contracts and organized resistance are the results of persistent, organized effort.

    Yes, the idea of violent riots is exciting to people who haven't experienced violence. No, riots are not spontaneous, guaranteed policymaking events.
