The local population of shrimp has been devastated (but still harvested! At your local pseudobougie restaurant, only 18€ for 100g), compared to Ecuadorian shrimp, 10€ kg...I'm sure once the price get hiked because they've over farmed and wasted the environment that we'll see less of a market (or another developing country starts the next cycle)
