Addressing how each individual justifies them in their habits and behaviors is the foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The behavior is not limited to the mentally challenged or the rich, it’s the result of being human but lacking insight and understanding on why you do what you do when you do it, what you hope to gain from doing it, weighing the risk/reward, and developing the self-awareness to question your behaviors before you act upon them.
