I legit hate the trend of sound designers sneaking that into media. It immediately pulls me out of the story.

    It was fine the first thirty years but now it's no longer a fun Easter egg. So many sound engineers don't think one bit about where they're putting it like in the middle of emotional climax scenes where people are getting bloodied in the face of a nigh impossible uphill battle and stuff.

    ..sounds like you're just getting old and cranky tbh 🤷🏻

    I'm 43 and the number of things that haven't bothered me for decades only to become a source of endless exasperation for no apparent reason in the last 5 or fewer years isn't enormous, but it's not zero either 🤷🏻😄
