[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip -1 points 3 months ago* (3 children) high-protein breakfast Pretty unhealthy for a breakfast. Is he constantly on a workout? Better go with a muesli or high-fibers. permalink fedilink source hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 2 points 3 months ago Biscuits and gravy always makes me most productive out of the breakfasts I've tried. Nutrition wise... Not so great, but I also don't need to eat again until dinner time so I guess it's fine. I rarely have time to make it too. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 1 point 3 months ago (1 child) Skyr with blueberries and a sprinkling of flax seed is a winning high protein breakfast. Add some granola if you want to be naughty. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 1 point 3 months ago Well... Skyr is a jogurt, yes? A long-lasting high-calories food for storage, made from the high-calories food for a baby, no? Basically cheese minus (and i do like cheese and Skyr). I mean, sure, there is worse you could eat for breakfast. But i do think the balance is off. permalink fedilink source parent [–] CaptainMan251@lemmy.world 1 point 3 months ago (1 child) How is that unhealthy? Are you talking like straight bacon and sausage glazed with uncooked egg yolk? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 1 point 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) Protein has also a high energy density, although less than fat. No matter how the body metabolizes it; if you don't poop it undigested out or work it off, you will carry it around. permalink fedilink source parent
