Hillary and Bill didn't suggest that he run on the Republican ticket until 2015-2016. I still think his plan was to lose and get richer on books and interviews complaining about losing. "They're going to round us up into camps (because that's what I would do in that position)" "They're going to start a war to stay in power (because that's what I would do in that position)".
