I mean, I wouldn't answer that as a primary reason either. That doesn't mean the other 52% see no issue or want to go to church because of Trump. There are so, so many other issues I have with mainstream Christianity that evangelical support of Trump wouldn't be in the top 10 reasons I wouldn't go to church.

Personally, if I wasn't planning on ever going in the first place, I wouldn't agree with that statement either.

The worst thing is that this goes for EVERYTHING now, not just games. While Tesla got lots of praise for OTA updates, it was one of the worst things that happened to the automotive industry, because manufacturers no longer have to worry about expensive recalls for sometimes serious issues. They will ship things that are known defects, sometimes serious ones, and you can hand wave the consequences away with "Oh, it'll be OTA'd by delivery."

That being said, sometimes it's a benefit, because there might be a major and a minor annoying defect, and we can now better prioritize getting the major one fixed before shipping and the minor one OTA'd, but it has still set a frustrating and dangerous precedent in the industry.

Fun fact: the Model 3 was shipped without any low-mu (ice/snow) calibration for its stability control system, and it was later OTA updated. Why was this allowed? They needed to get cars off the line ASAP, and they said "Well, all the initial customers are in California and it's summer, so they won't be driving in slick conditions." Literally delivering to customers with known safety defects, but because it could be updated OTA, they didn't care.

Make a budget, buy gear, and then spend the rest on a bike. Better gear not only makes you safer (to a point) but also more comfortable.

My bike is an older sport tourer that will do 70 in first gear. It's very fun, but I went back and did an MSF refresher course and had a ton of fun on the little MT03s they had. I wouldn't want to do a cross-country ride on them, but they're fun little commuters you can really wring out and use the whole bike at legal speeds.

Having a fast bike is a lot of fun, but it's very much a "with great power" kind of situation. Even a moderately fast bike is faster than any car you will ever drive, and little mistakes can become big ones really fast.

None of this is meant to scare you, but you'll have a lot more fun mastering a small bike and moving up than you will being terrified of ever really using your bike.

Even worse is JIS, where it seems that its explicit and singular goal was to make a screw that would be instantly obliterated the moment a Phillips driver touched it. Fun fact, JIS drivers work far better on Phillips than Phillips drivers do, and I've yet to strip one since using JIS drivers almost exclusively

Yeah, the dispatch audio is pretty telling. He was found unconscious in cardiac arrest, someone was performing CPR at his home, and they sent an ALS ambulance to his place. No shot he's chatting it up with the other reps like a lot of them are trying to claim.

Not only are the statistics bad, but they're even worse when you factor in that he was apparently found unconscious after an unknown period of time before CPR was started. If you see someone go into cardiac arrest and immediately begin compressions, the numbers are a bit better. Finding someone over the age of 80 in cardiac arrest after an indeterminate amount of time outside of a hospital? The absolute best-case is "not legally dead".

Part of me feels like they wanted heroin and oxycodone replaced with the far more lethal fentanyl for the purpose of punishing the "wicked junkies" but that's somewhat of a conspiracy theory.

I mean, there's a reason crack cocaine was so prolific and associated with negative outcomes in black communities... It's reasonable that a similar strategy might be used again in that same manner.

That's not even horrifically expensive in most cities. I've seen people pay $20/shot at some bars.

Idk, while I obviously try to appreciate everyone's experiences and don't like making broad statements, it can be hard to not feel that way when literally every femboy I've met eventually transitioned, myself included...

That's not to say it's a great take, but it's definitely understandable why people would feel that way. Especially since for me personally, it was very much a coping mechanism for being trans.

Again not trying to invalidate anyone's experiences, just kinda venting my own personal thoughts/feelings on the matter.
