[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 14 points 6 months ago (2 children) Alright, somebody’s gonna have to explain it to me, cause I don’t get it. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 18 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (2 children) Van Gough had one ear, so he’s missing one audio cable. Beethoven was dead deaf, so he is missing both audio cables. Wanda was in love with the character Vision, and he died, so no video cable for her. Edit: typo 🤣 permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Scrollone@feddit.it 7 points 6 months ago (1 child) lol I think you misspelled deaf permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago I know! Was she blinded? Edit: another user explained it: she has no Vision. permalink fedilink source parent [–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 months ago (1 child) Fun fact: there is no right or left channel in the RCA standard. One (white IIRC) is positive both channels and the other (red IIRC) is negative right. That way one is actually mono with both channels overlayed, to get stereo the system (tv, hi-fi, etc…) subtracts one from the other and then inverts the negative one for two channels. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 3 points 6 months ago Oh, cool! I always thought that there were channels and if you just plugged one it would just act as mono audio like some sort of fallback permalink fedilink source parent
