Maybe I'll give it another spin sometime =D permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] randomwords@midwest.social 2 points 7 months ago (1 child) I would recommend using the glibc version if your goal is gaming. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 point 7 months ago (1 child) Hah, yeah, I figured the muscl (sp?) variant would still be... basically impossibly broken, haha! permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] randomwords@midwest.social 2 points 7 months ago (1 child) The musl c library version isn't broken there are just some applications that aren't compatible. Steam games on proton just have a much higher chance of being incompatible and the void devs can't prod them to fix their code. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 point 6 months ago Right, I meant that the experience of trying to game using musl c is broken, by way of incompatibilty, not by way of musl c being itself broken per se. If you wanted to get... musl c gaming on linux to work... presumably you would have to create some kind mapping / translation layer from ... standard c to musl c? I don't really know. permalink fedilink source parent
