That's what I do whenever I see software "correct" something in a way I didn't intend. I'd rather have a typo or incorrect spelling than an unintended word. Hell, even the generally helpful ones like "auto capitalize" I'll turn off on desktops because they mess with typing out code blurbs for an email or document. Though swipe typing is in its own little zone where the plasticine province predictions can be frustrating but make of it usable.
