Yeah blame everything but guns. In all countries where they banned guns the gun violence went down drastically, to a point to where it barely exists if at all. Look at Australia for example. Biggest mass shooting ever, guns got banned, not a single mass shooting since. That's in 30 years.

I agree that all the other points you mentioned are I portant too. But to bring down gun violence, the most impact change you can make is ban guns completely.

Look, it's like driving cars. I don't like being restricted how fast I can go. But some idiots couldn't behave, got drunk and drove really fast and hit and killed others. Because that happened too often, we're not allowed to drive that fast or drink and drive. No one cares whether I'm a responsible driver. This is the law because it benefits us all: it makes us all more safe.

This is how society works. We introduce laws to make us all safer, because there are some who can't behave and need these restrictions. Same with guns. This is proven in all countries where they banned guns at some point. I like guns too. I love shootings guns, I enjoy the sport. But I'm glad they are banned here, the fact that I can't have guns to insure others around me who might be crazy and/or irresponsible makes us all much more safe. So it's something I'm willing to give up for safety to us all.

But instead in the US they arm teachers, put cops in schools, have kids wear armor plates and install bullet proof windows and doors in schools. Yet shootings keep happening. Now when a kid would bring a small knife to school to be able to cut his apple during lunch he will be thrown onto the ground, arrested and put in jail and charged. People are so scared of kids with weapons doing irresponsible stuff, yet they do nothing about them being able to have access to guns. How insanely twisted and completely stupid can one be?

Look, you can copy all NRA bogus arguments about why the second amendment shouldn't change. The only true and solid argument you have is "I like guns". The rest is complete bullshit. Statistics show banning guns is the only solution. So you can listen to your feelings or to logic and facts. Right now you're willing to give up a lot of safety to be able to have a gun. "But now I can protect myself!" Well, I would like to avoid a shootout completely, even when having a gun myself there's still a change of getting hit and die. I prefer to call each other an asshole, flip each other off and go our own ways instead of escalating with guns. I prefer to sleep knowing no one will invade my house and kill me. If I have kids I want them to go to school without the risk of getting shot. I love it that I can go outside, walk the streets at any moment of the day and night without the risk of meeting an idiot with a deadly weapon (other than cops sadly).
