I certainly wouldn't claim that political violence only happens on one side, but to me it's clear how we got here. It was the right who celebrated minorities being murdered by the police. It was the right who attempted a violent coup and then defended and ultimately celebrated the pardons of the people who planned and executed said coup. The right voted for a man who spreads hate and incites violence every time he opens his mouth three times. They are responsible for this dangerous and violent reality we live in now. By pardoning domestic terrorists, it sends a message that the right supports using violence to obtain their political goals.
