Just got a fairphone 4. It feels so much more solid than my old pixel 6a. Its battery lasts for almost 2 days. Same performance that I can see. Spare parts for cheapish on the site.

Anyways just wanted to share.

How is the situation with the boot loader? And when will it be real Linux compatible?

If answers are “can be unlocked” and “Soon™️”, I gotta get one

    No idea. Although I would probably just get a USB mobile connection with a pi or something if I wanted gnu/Linux running. Just my opinion.
