The goddamned library only has paid parking near me. What the fuck man.

Some disadvantaged people here are expected to fax certain forms to certain ministries. I eventually learned how and how to advise them how.

The library costs $1 per page. The insurance company across the street does it for free. I am not usually anti-library but why charge to send a fax? Like, receiving costs a small amount of toner, sure, but when scanning at the rate of $1 per page, you should be considered criminal.

Depends on how practical that is for them. :/

So they're paying to have their comfort two tons of murderous steel accommodated? That seems fair.

So they're paying to have their comfort two tons of murderous steel accommodated?

Or, I don't know, basic personal safety? What's the alternative? Walk 2 miles with a small child through busy areas with minimal sidewalks?

Yeah, I'm really going to endanger my child just because I want them to be able to visit the library πŸ™„.

I don't like carbrained people, but you're just as bad, if not worse. I'd love to use public transport or walk places, but that's not always a safe option. So I have to deal with what I have available, and I can rightly criticize something without having to voice every single one to some mollify some um akshually chode.

cars are dangerous; i must, by whatever means become part of the problem!

    Sure thing!

you're just as bad as people who make it literally unsafe for my child to go outside for fear they will be killed

Yeah, because thd villain who forces you to pay a small fee for being part of the problem is totally the antagonist in a generic western movie or fascist crime-snuff film. Totally equivalent.

im just gonna say whatever i think i can say to feel like you're mean and i dont need to listen to you because i kinda know you're right

    Hot.

Projection, because you know you're being an ass and don't want to admit it to yourself.

this is an EXTREMELY privileged statement to say. But, just for fun, I'll play along with you.

If I were to take public transportation to the nearest public library leaving right now I would walk 2 hours and 5 minutes. I would then wait 19 hours and 39 minutes for the next train. I would then walk 34 more minutes. I would then wait about an hour for it to open.

once I am done getting what I need, let's say it takes me 30 minutes, I will walk 34 minutes, then wait 6 hours and 4 minutes for the train to come back. I then would walk 2 hours and 5 minutes back to my house.

    that is, 12:40 + 2 hours 5 min + 19 hours 39 min + 34 min + 1 hour + 30min + 34 min + 6 hours 4 min + 2 hours 5 min

    or,

    32 hours and 31 minutes

or I could drive 35 minutes there and 35 back, including the time for traffic.

We have no busses, the trains are >2 hours away, Republicans blocked the idea of making trams around the City, and I DONT EVEN HAVE SIDEWALKS FOR A LOT OF IT.

And if I need to piss? THERES NO GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOMS ANYWHERE!

I CANT FUCKING TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, REPUBLICANS RUINED IT

    stop recommending it.

It is unironically faster to WALK THE WHOLE WAY

    walk the whole way

Or bike, yeah. That's what i do when i live rural, depending on terrain. Nobody for miles, headphones in one ear with an audiobook or something, you don't need to schedule a separate workout so the time cost is smaller than it appears, and you impress everyone with how fit and coordinated you are.

    no gender neutral bathrooms

Okay so im originally from san francisco, and we have a have a solution for this:

When there are no bathrooms, anything you want can be a bathroom!

Remember to kill the cameras. Which you should be doing anyway.

    republicans ruined it

Have you given your local fascists half the vitriol you offered me here? I assume the answer is no.

I don't mean ticking a box. I mean going down to their offices, or at least calling them up, and just talking like this until the shock absorber hangs up or threatens to call security?

I get the sense no. You just want to feel good about uour car.
